Michael Land
Mike is a web designer and photographer in Annapolis, Md. He's the Founder and Principal of Land Designs, LLC, a small user-focused web design studio. He's been building websites for over ten years, most recently for the National Park Service in Annapolis, Maryland.
He first started building websites in 1997 while working at the College of William and Mary. His clients have ranged from businesses to government agencies to towns to non-profits.
Mike's experience includes:
- User Research / Interaction Design: including all elements of the "Discovery Phase" of web design. They include user testing, card sorting, personas, site maps, wireframes and requirements documentation.
- Visual Design: the design of websites and web interfaces including photo manipulation, the creation of original graphics and more. Software includes: Photoshop, Illustrator, ImageReady
- Web Development: Extensive experience building websites for a variety of clients. including web standards-based development utilizing XHTML / CSS and JavaScript. He also has experience building web applications utilizing ColdFusion.
